So last January I started to read the Once A Day Bible and The Confident Women Devotional daily. Well it started off great but it did not take long before the daily reading turned into once a week or maybe once a month if not longer readings. As of tonight I am on Day 142 a year later. The other night I was reading 2 Samuel 2 where David “inquired of the Lord” if he should go up to one of the towns of Judah. David asked and God said, “Go up.”  Then it hit me, something so basic that I have read over and over but never stood out to me before. It is how people in the Old Testament ask guidance and direction from God before acting which is not something that I do really at all. So with this new incite, I hope to start seeking God’s direction before setting off on my own opinions.
